I am fascinated by the emotional power of color and the way it can evoke different moods and feelings. My art is a celebration of life's kaleidoscope, a vibrant explosion of bold and happy colors that traverse the canvas with unbridled enthusiasm. I view color as the heartbeat of my creative expression, a language that speaks directly to the soul, evoking positivity and happiness in every mark and paint stroke.
Life itself is my ultimate muse, and I find inspiration in the most ordinary of moments. The crimson blush of a tomato, the magenta in my backyard flower garden, the various shades of blues and greens in the Mediterranean Sea, the golden sunlight through the leaves-these are the hues that fuel my creative fire. Through the unabashed use of bold happy colors, I strive to uplift spirits and rekindle the sense of childlike wonder within each of us.
Alcohol ink is my chosen medium using different types of substrates including plexiglass, clayboard and yupo paper in my work providing a catalyst for experimentation and creative expression. The vivid and luminous colors in the inks I choose evoke a sense of happy emotion and energy and react slightly different on each substrate. With alcohol inks, I wield a certain level of control in guiding the colors, yet I also embrace the unpredictable of the medium. These inks flow, merge, blend and intertwine with spontaneity and feelings that mirrors the way we navigate life, finding joy and beauty from the interplay of planning and serendipity. It is a celebration of beauty and an invitation for the viewers to find their own stories within the layers and colors of my art.
